Job Title: Senior Policy Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Policy Officer to join our Advocacy and Campaigns team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing our policy positions and campaigns to improve social mobility in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development of our Social Mobility Employer Index, including project managing and delivering core components such as the marking, design, and delivery of the survey, and the feedback reports.
  • Develop policy positions for our political influencing campaigns, working closely with our internal knowledge hub and external stakeholders to ensure we have robust, youth-led positions.
  • Analyse evidence and help carve out our unique point of view on how to improve social mobility in the UK.
  • Present findings internally and support fundraising colleagues with the insights, tools, and knowledge to develop new products that can influence employer behaviour.
  • Attend relevant conferences, stakeholder meetings, and gather intelligence to raise our profile and influence where appropriate.
Requirements:
  • Experience of developing policy positions for an organisation.
  • Experience in translating research into insights and using that to inform positions.
  • Experience of analysing and interpreting data sets to develop policy positions.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience of project management.
Desirable Experience:
  • Experience of hosting focus groups and co-creating policy positions with young people.
  • Experience working in a policy role focused on social mobility.
  • Experience working in agile.
Benefits:
