Job Title: Policy and Public Affairs Manager

The Policy and Public Affairs Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the policy direction and engagement strategy for the charity. This role is ideally suited for those passionate about influencing policy change and enhancing stakeholder relationships.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement policy strategies to drive positive change.
  • Represent the organisation in policy discussions, select committees, and APPGs, building strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Monitor and respond to policy developments affecting the organisation and sector, providing timely and informed advice.
  • Prepare policy briefs and reports for senior stakeholders, ensuring clear and concise communication.
  • Provide policy advice and guidance to the team and senior management, supporting informed decision-making.
Requirements:
  • A degree in political science, law, or a related field, demonstrating a strong understanding of policy development and advocacy.
  • Knowledge of policy development and advocacy from across the NFP sector, with a proven track record of influencing policy change.
  • Strong networking and relationship-building skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex policy information clearly and concisely.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritising tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
