Job Title: Senior Policy Officer

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Policy Officer to join our Advocacy and Campaigns team. The successful candidate will play a key role in developing and implementing our policy positions and campaigns to improve social mobility in the UK.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the development and implementation of our Social Mobility Employer Index, including project managing and delivering core components of the Index.
  • Develop policy positions for our political influencing campaigns, working closely with our internal knowledge hub and external stakeholders.
  • Analyse evidence and data to inform policy decisions and develop recommendations for improvement.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver the annual key findings report and ensure the Index evolves with best practice.
  • Represent the organization at conferences, stakeholder meetings, and other events to raise our profile and influence policy decisions.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in developing policy positions and implementing campaigns.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to influence and persuade stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and evidence.
  • Experience of project management and coordination, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
