Group Shared Services Ltd is a leading provider of financial services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Bank Reconciliation Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reconciliation and Analysis
    • Analyse and categorise bank statement transactions to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation.
    • Reconcile Admin/own/office/collection accounts for the reconciliations assigned to you, as specified by the Bank Reconciliation Manager.
    • Investigate and resolve unreconciled items within the specified Service Level Agreement (SLA).
  • Root Cause Analysis and Problem-Solving
    • Conduct root cause analysis to understand issues and propose solutions for resolution.
    • Work with relevant stakeholders to resolve outstanding items, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Record to Report teams.
  • Internal and External Audit Support
    • Assist with internal and external audit requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Accounting and Reconciliation Experience
    • Previous reconciliation experience is essential, with a working knowledge of accounting double-entry and reconciliation processes and platforms.
  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills
    • Ability to interrogate and analyse large data sets to identify trends and issues.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work effectively with stakeholders and colleagues.
  • Technical Skills
    • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, with experience in using Oracle/ERP systems desirable.
