Group Shared Services Ltd is a leading provider of financial services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Bank Reconciliation Assistant to join our team.
Key Responsibilities
- Transaction Analysis
Analyse and categorise bank statement transactions to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation.
ReconciliationReconcile the Admin/own/office/collection accounts for the reconciliations that are assigned to you as specified by the Bank Reconciliation Manager.
Investigation and ResolutionEnsure all unreconciled items are investigated and resolved within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).
Root Cause AnalysisUndertake root cause analysis to understand issues and propose solutions for resolution.
Stakeholder CollaborationWork with relevant stakeholders to resolve outstanding items, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Record to Report teams.
Audit SupportAssist with internal and external audit requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy.
Requirements
- Accounting Knowledge
A working knowledge of accounting double-entry and reconciliation processes and platforms is desirable.
Data AnalysisAn ability to interrogate and analyse large data sets to identify trends and issues.
Attention to DetailAttention to detail is critical to success in this role, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail in all aspects of the job.
Risk ManagementIdentify risks and ensure a 'no surprise' approach is adopted, highlighting and escalating issues in a timely manner.
Previous ExperiencePrevious reconciliation experience is essential, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills and previous Oracle/ERP experience desirable.
