Location: Leeds, Thorpe Park, Hybrid working.
As the Financial Reconciliation Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the comprehensive bank reconciliation activities for your assigned area within the organization. Leading a team of Reconciliation Assistants, you will regularly assess the reconciliations conducted on all bank accounts associated with the organization. You will work closely with various finance departments to ensure that the complete bank processes are effective and that new entities and accounts are seamlessly integrated into the system.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management of the bank reconciliation process for administrative, office, and collection accounts within your designated area.
- Collaborate with fellow Financial Reconciliation Supervisors and relevant teams to drive process enhancements and ensure operational efficiency.
- Assist the Head of Financial Reconciliation in upholding a strong reconciliation and control framework, executing follow-up actions and remediation as necessary.
- Provide support during internal, external, and client audits, ensuring robust audit trails and documentation are maintained.
- Track and report on KPIs and SLAs, develop monthly performance dashboards, and furnish management with necessary information.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and organizational policies, providing clear evidence for third-party reviews.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing a team within a high-volume processing environment.
- Qualified accountant or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets.
- Proficient in identifying risks and escalating issues promptly.
- A proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement.
- Previous experience in reconciliation processes is essential.
- Familiarity with Oracle or ERP systems is advantageous.
