About Us

Group Shared Services Ltd is a leading provider of financial services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Bank Reconciliation Assistant to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transaction Analysis

Analyse and categorise bank statement transactions to ensure accurate and timely reconciliation.

Reconciliation

Reconcile the Admin/own/office/collection accounts for the reconciliations that are assigned to you as specified by the Bank Reconciliation Manager.

Investigation and Resolution

Ensure all unreconciled items are investigated and resolved within the agreed Service Level Agreement (SLA).

Root Cause Analysis

Undertake root cause analysis to understand issues and propose solutions for resolution.

Stakeholder Collaboration

Work with relevant stakeholders to resolve outstanding items, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Treasury, and Record to Report teams.

Audit Support

Assist with internal and external audit requirements to ensure compliance and accuracy.

Requirements

  • Accounting Knowledge

A working knowledge of accounting double-entry and reconciliation processes and platforms is desirable.

Data Analysis

An ability to interrogate and analyse large data sets to identify trends and issues.

Attention to Detail

Attention to detail is critical to success in this role, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in reconciliation and analysis.

Risk Management

Identify risks and adopt a 'no surprise' approach to ensure issues are highlighted and escalated in a timely manner.

Previous Experience

Previous reconciliation experience is essential, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills and knowledge of Oracle/ERP systems desirable.
