Job Title

Application Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Application Engineer to join our team at dormakaba Canada Inc. as part of our Automotive Division.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing regional technical support for our range of automotive diagnostic and programming products. This will involve working closely with our engineering teams to develop new hardware and software products, as well as providing technical assistance to customers and internal stakeholders.

Main Responsibilities

  • Diagnostic Tool Support: Identify and troubleshoot issues with our diagnostic tools and vehicle communication systems.
  • Product Testing: Conduct detailed on-vehicle testing of our products and software to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Application Development: Compile application lists relevant to new products and develop training materials, including videos and photos.
  • Technical Support: Provide technical assistance to customers and internal stakeholders, including generating and maintaining contacts within the automotive industry.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Diploma in Automotive Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: Experience in automotive diagnostics or auto electrician, with a good understanding of vehicle systems architecture and communication standards.
  • Skills: Proficient in English, both oral and written, with excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and ability to work as part of a team.
  • Other: Full UK driving license.
