Job Title:

Test & Application Engineer Automotive

Job Summary:

Advanced Diagnostics Ltd is seeking an Application Engineer to provide regional technical support for our range of Advanced Diagnostics/Silca Automotive Key products.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Identify and troubleshoot diagnostic tools and vehicle communications.
  2. Log and analyze diagnostic tool data.
  3. Conduct on-vehicle testing of products and software.
  4. Disassemble and reassemble vehicles for testing purposes.
  5. Compile application lists for new products.
  6. Test and validate software.
  7. Develop training materials, including videos and photos.
  8. Maintain relationships with contacts within the automotive industry.
Requirements:
  1. Diploma in Automotive Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  2. Experience in automotive diagnostics or auto electrician.
  3. Good understanding of vehicle systems architecture.
  4. Knowledge of automotive communication standards (ISO9141, CAN, etc.).
  5. Previous experience in the Automotive locksmith industry is beneficial.
  6. Proficient in using vehicle logging tools (e.g., Vehicle Spy, CANcaseXL or equivalent).
  7. Good knowledge of PCs, including MS Office (Word, Excel, etc.).
  8. Proficient in English, both oral and written.
  9. Full UK driving license.
