Job Title: Medical Application Engineer

Advanced Diagnostics Ltd is a leading manufacturer of high-quality car key programming and diagnostic equipment. We are seeking an experienced Application Engineer to provide regional technical support for our products.

Main Responsibilities:
  • New Development Support:
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop new hardware and software products.
    • Identify and troubleshoot diagnostic tools.
    • Log and analyze diagnostic tool data.
    • Conduct on-vehicle testing of products and software.
    • Disassemble and reassemble vehicles for testing purposes.
    • Compile application lists for new products.
    • Develop training materials, including videos and photos.
    • Maintain relationships with automotive industry contacts.
  • Product Technical Support:
    • Provide regional front-line technical support for our product range.
    • Investigate and resolve product-related issues.
  • Product Training and Development:
    • Develop customer training materials for new automotive products.
    • Attend distributor events and provide product support/training.
Requirements:
  • Diploma in Automotive Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience in automotive diagnostics or auto electrician.
  • Understanding of vehicle systems architecture.
  • Knowledge of automotive communication standards (ISO9141, CAN, etc.).
  • Previous experience in the automotive locksmith industry is beneficial.
  • Proficiency in using vehicle logging tools (e.g. Vehicle Spy, CANcaseXL or equivalent).
  • Strong knowledge of PCs, including word processing tools and spreadsheets (MS Office Word, Excel, etc.).
  • Excellent communication skills in English (oral and written).
  • Full UK driving license.

We are seeking a professional with excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work as part of a team. Great customer orientation and approach are essential. Flexibility to travel regionally and internationally is required.
