About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Pharmacy Technician to join our Cancer Pharmacy Team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialist Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in providing technical support to our pharmacy team, ensuring the safe and effective delivery of medicines to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical support to the pharmacy team, including dispensing, checking, and counselling patients.
  • Work closely with the ward pharmacy team to maintain accurate stock levels and ensure timely delivery of medicines.
  • Participate in the audit of medicines management services and contribute to the development of pharmacy practice and medicines management.
  • Train and mentor new or existing technicians on medicines management and pharmacy practice.
  • Document and audit financial drug savings and returns, and produce reports as required.
About You

We are looking for a qualified Pharmacy Technician with an NVQ 3 or equivalent qualification and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC). You will have relevant experience as a qualified Technician and be able to use your own initiative appropriately. You should be able to work well under pressure, be adaptable and flexible, and have good verbal communication skills.
