Job SummaryThis is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and commercially minded Associate Director to join the growing team. The successful candidate will report to the Directors, though also work independently with your own client base on a broad range of planning projects, to influence and deliver schemes throughout the UK of all types and scales, across residential, employment, retail and leisure sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver planning permissions of varying scales across a broad range of development sectors.
- Forge strong relationships with clients and other professional contacts to drive the business forward.
- Undertake complex negotiations with stakeholders based on a coherent planning strategy.
- Manage projects effectively, including time and resource management.
- Work with minimal supervision and under your own initiative.
- Mentor junior members of the team.
- Chartered membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute.
- A strong track record in planning, with a minimum of seven years post-qualification experience, preferably in a consultancy or similar commercial environment.
- An excellent knowledge of the planning system including planning policy.
- Strong and clear communication skills.
- Project management skills.
- Enthusiasm, commitment and an eye for detail, with the ability to think laterally.
- A strong team-working capability.
- A full UK driving licence.
