Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our client, a rapidly growing agricultural business in the Driffield area. As a key member of the finance team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Directors in making informed financial decisions, preparing internal financial statements, and contributing to the company's financial, operational, and strategic planning.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare timely and accurate weekly and monthly financial reports, including management accounts, variance to budget analysis, and dashboard information, to provide insights to the Directors.
  • Financial Planning and Analysis: Assist the Directors in making financial decisions by providing accurate and reliable financial data, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.
  • Cash Management: Manage the company's cash flow, including the management of all company bank accounts, credit cards, and petty cash.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Oversee the purchase ledger, ensuring accuracy and timely payment of invoices, and manage the credit control process.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Submit payroll to the payroll provider and ensure accurate and timely payment of wages and salaries.
  • Fixed Assets and Depreciation: Maintain the Fixed Asset Registers, ensuring accurate records and adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Capital Expenditure: Work with the Directors to ensure all capital expenditure projects are correctly scoped, delivered on time, and within budget.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in a similar role, preferably in an agricultural or related industry.
  • Strong financial management and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and provide insights to stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with the Directors and other team members.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

What We Offer:

  • A competitive salary, pro-rata from £35,000 - £38,000, depending on experience.
