Clark Wood is seeking a Charities Accounting Manager to join their team

Clark Wood, a specialist accountancy practice recruitment consultancy, is working with a premier firm of chartered accountants to recruit a Charities Accounting Manager for their Not for Profit, Charities, and Education team.

The firm offers innovative accounting solutions to a diverse range of clients and utilizes the latest cloud-based technology to support a wide array of businesses in all aspects of accounting and business advisory services.

As a result of the continued success and growth of the firm, they are now seeking a Charities Accounting Manager to oversee an existing portfolio of clients. As you'd expect from the team you'll sit within, all of your clients will be from the Not for Profit, Charity, and Education sectors.

You will also have responsibility for staff management, which will include reviewing the work of less senior team members and providing support and guidance to aid their development.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Client Portfolio Management: Manage an existing client portfolio, leveraging effective client management and networking to enhance the firm's presence in the local business community.
  2. Financial Reporting: Review and deliver year-end accounts, audit, and tax compliance for clients.
  3. Team Development: Provide ongoing mentoring and guidance to team members, fostering their professional development.
  4. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  5. Business Development: Identify and develop new business opportunities.
  6. Networking: Build and maintain relationships with external business contacts to expand your professional network.
  7. Process Improvement: Promote efficiencies and best practices to partners, managers, and support teams.
  8. Client Service: Uphold and deliver excellent client service across all responsibilities.
Requirements:
  1. Qualifications: ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience managing a team and client portfolio.
  2. Industry Experience: Preferably, experience in the charities and/or education sectors.
  3. Communication Skills: Proven excellent communication skills and strong networking abilities.
