Charities Accounting Manager Opportunity

Clark Wood, a specialist accountancy practice recruitment consultancy, is partnering with a premier firm of chartered accountants to recruit a Charities Accounting Manager for their Not for Profit, Charities, and Education team.

The firm offers innovative accounting solutions to a diverse range of clients and utilizes the latest cloud-based technology to support businesses in all aspects of accounting and business advisory services.

As a result of the firm's continued success and growth, they are seeking a Charities Accounting Manager to oversee an existing portfolio of clients from the Not for Profit, Charity, and Education sectors.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing client relationships, reviewing and delivering year-end accounts, audit, and tax compliance, and providing ongoing mentoring and guidance to team members.

The ideal candidate will have ACA or ACCA qualification, a minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience managing a team and client portfolio, and preferably experience in the charities and/or education sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage an existing client portfolio and leverage effective client management and networking to enhance the firm's presence in the local business community.
  2. Review and deliver year-end accounts, audit, and tax compliance for clients.
  3. Provide ongoing mentoring and guidance to team members, fostering their professional development.
  4. Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
  5. Identify and develop new business opportunities.
  6. Build and maintain relationships with external business contacts to expand your professional network.
  7. Promote efficiencies and best practices to partners, managers, and support teams.
  8. Uphold and deliver excellent client service across all responsibilities.

Requirements:

  1. ACA or ACCA qualified (or equivalent experience) with a minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience managing a team and client portfolio.
  2. Preferably, experience in the charities and/or education sectors.
  3. Proven excellent communication skills and strong networking abilities.
