The work we undertake supports the need for effective solutions to meet the UK's decarbonization objectives, and our processes minimize environmental and carbon impacts while ensuring the safe and reliable operation of assets. New Homes - As experienced and specialized new build housing contractors, we create homes and regenerate areas with communities in mind. We collaborate closely with registered partners, local authorities, and private developers to deliver high-quality, energy-efficient, and sustainable homes for individuals to live and thrive. Connected - We connect individuals through fixed-line and wireless telecom infrastructure, ensuring seamless communication and access to information for all. At United Living, we boast one of the largest specialist in-house teams for project management, acquisition, design, construction, and maintenance in the UK.

Role Overview


• Coordinate and manage traffic control requirements

• Communicate with local authorities regarding planned work specifications

• Ensure that tasks are organized in accordance with the project delivery timeline

• Evaluate potential risks in scheduled tasks that may lead to project delays

• Maintain internal trackers and schedules

• Address permit modification inquiries from local authorities and streetworks coordinators

• Generate daily whereabouts reports.

• Participate in calls and meetings as necessary via Teams or in person.

• Input site data into internal and client systems as required

• Retrieve information from client systems, including drawings, surveys, and data sheets

• Prepare and issue method statements, risk assessments, health and safety packs, and quality plans

• Assemble job packs and upload as directed within agreed service level agreements, ensuring utility safe digs, following health and safety procedures.

• Process purchase orders for approval and invoicing

• Maintain electronic and hard copy files

• Report on and promote continuous improvement through effective use of key performance indicators

• Communicate effectively and respectfully with staff, operatives, and customers.

• Collaborate closely with streetworks coordinators

• Update and respond to any other streetworks correspondence promptly.

• Organize site visits and liaise with the highway authority as necessary

• Provide general administrative support as requested by the manager

• Undertake any additional duties assigned to support the project team

Technical Competencies

Experienced civil coordinator/planner within the telecommunications sector Proficient in IT, including Excel and other Microsoft applications Background in telecommunications or a related industry Familiarity with local authority traffic management applications and CAD submissions Awareness and understanding of NRSWA regulations Skilled in manipulating client tools and reports regularly Relevant IT qualifications Health and safety certifications
