Purchase Ledger Coordinator

Position Overview: As a vital member of a compact finance team, you will oversee the comprehensive management and upkeep of the Purchase Ledger operations, alongside supporting various finance-related tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage purchase ledger functions, which include verifying and recording invoices, reconciling accounts, addressing invoice discrepancies, collaborating with suppliers, and organizing payment schedules.
- Prepare carnets using job management software and submit them to the relevant authorities for validation.
- Coordinate with the Accountant to ensure accurate reconciliation of jobs within the job management system.
- Process staff expense claims, serving as the financial checkpoint for submissions and entering them into the financial system.
- Record customer payments, as well as nominal bank transactions.
- Provide support for the Accountant during their absence from the office.
- Undertake any additional tasks as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in Accounts Payable, demonstrating strong numerical and literacy capabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, VLOOKUP, and Outlook.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to manage telephone inquiries and email correspondence professionally.
- A proactive approach to assisting in the training of both new and existing team members.
