We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Children and Young People Mental Health Practitioner to join our team at Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our CYPMHS team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to children and young people with mental health difficulties.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and develop effective care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
- Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including CBT, DBT, and systemic therapy, to children and young people with mental health difficulties.
- Work closely with families, carers, and other professionals to ensure seamless care coordination and effective risk management.
- Participate in inter-agency working and contribute to the development of policies and procedures to improve mental health services for children and young people.
- Engage in continuous professional development to maintain expertise in therapeutic interventions and risk management.
- Recognised qualification in a relevant discipline, such as nursing, social work, or allied health professions.
- Professional registration with a recognised national body (e.g., HCPC, NMC, Social Work England).
- Significant post-qualification experience of working within a CYPMHS or child mental health-related field.
- Experience of working with children and young people who present with clinical risk and require evidence-based interventions.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
