Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and implement a strategic communications plan aligned with the Local Authority's objectives.
  • Develop and execute engaging campaigns across various platforms, including traditional media, social media, and internal communications.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, and key influencers to secure positive coverage and manage reputational risks.
  • Monitor media landscape and analyze public sentiment to inform strategic communication decisions.
  • Create compelling content, including press releases, articles, social media posts, and internal communications materials.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Proven experience in developing and executing successful communications campaigns.
  • Strong understanding of media relations and public affairs principles.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to adapt style for different audiences.
  • Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation tools.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.

This is a 1-year contract role, highly likely to be extended at the client's discretion. The rate of pay is £202.44 per day.
