Job Description

**About the Role**

We are seeking an experienced Composite Design Engineer to join our team at Owen Daniels, a leading aerospace manufacturer. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for designing and certifying composite structures and products for commercial and military markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop aerospace composite and hybrid structures using 3D CAD software.
  • Produce detailed engineering drawings to define designs and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements are met and projects are delivered on time.
  • Develop and implement certification and qualification plans, including QTPs and QTRs.

Requirements:

  • Education to degree or HND level in mechanical or aerospace engineering is preferred but not essential.
  • Demonstrated expertise in the design of fibre reinforced composite materials.
  • Familiarity with aerospace industry composite design methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in CAD systems and ability to work with complex designs.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel to sites in the UK for design reviews when necessary.
