Grafton Banks Limited is seeking a skilled Financial Operations Specialist to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent position working 3 days in the office and 2 days from home.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger management, and balance sheet control.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts, including financial analysis and reporting.
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns and assist with VAT and Corporation tax matters.
  • Ensure all transactions are properly recorded, filed, and reported.
  • Assist with the year-end audit and accounts preparation process.
  • Process invoices and transactions within the accounting ledger (Microsoft Dynamics).
  • Perform bank statement reconciliations, including chasing approvals and payments.
  • Prepare and deliver quarterly management reporting.
  • Raise invoices and manage credit control.
  • Assist accountants with preparing quarterly VAT returns and annual accounts.
  • Deal with accounts queries and ensure timely payment of suppliers.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of practical working experience within a busy finance function.
  • A confident, professional, and pragmatic approach.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills.
  • IT literate, with an in-depth knowledge of the full Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Ability to work within a team.
  • Positive and flexible attitude, with a willingness to learn.
  • Quick thinking and high level of initiative, with the ability to adapt to changing work demands.
  • Attention to detail.
