Job Title: Commercial Gas and Oil Engineer

We are March, the UK's leading provider of critical engineering services. Our expertise as a multi-disciplinary engineering partner across infrastructure, process, and digital services has led to long-term partnerships with leading organisations in various industries, including food and drink, utilities, defence, aerospace, and nuclear.

We are currently seeking a Commercial Gas Engineer to carry out the service, maintenance, and repair of commercial gas systems across multiple client sites in Sheffield and the surrounding areas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute planned and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems.
  • Keep detailed records of all maintenance work performed.
  • Perform small installation works as required.
  • Evaluate and escalate issues to Supervisor/Contract Manager immediately.
  • Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota and attend emergency repair works as needed.
  • Source and provide required information for quotes.
  • Liaise with specialist sub-contractors and engineers from other disciplines to ensure the efficient operation of the plant/area without disruption to the client.
Requirements:
  • Outstanding communication and teamwork capabilities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in commercial facilities maintenance.
  • Ability to operate SMART devices and complete electronic documentation.
  • Strong fault-finding experience is essential in this role, and you will be expected to carry out works on traditional plant equipment right through to more modern systems.
  • Ability to work safely and diligently.
Specific Qualifications:
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Hold Commercial Gas qualifications.
  • Domestic Gas Qualifications - Desirable.
  • Previous experience carrying out planned and reactive works in a similar role.
