Job Overview

Randstad CPE is seeking a skilled Commercial Gas Engineer to join our client's team in Sheffield. As a key member of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of commercial gas and oil systems across various retail sites in the region.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Carry out routine maintenance tasks to ensure the efficient operation of commercial gas and oil systems.
  2. Specialize in commercial combustion, heating, and HVAC systems, handling both planned and reactive maintenance.
  3. Undertake other building services tasks, including fabric maintenance, HVAC, mechanical work, and related duties.
  4. Provide on-call support as part of the callout rota.
  5. Maintain the cleanliness and organization of plant rooms, workshops, and storage areas.
  6. Diagnose and repair faults in systems and equipment, including basic electrical fault-finding.
Essential Qualifications/Skills
  1. Experience in reactive maintenance.
  2. Core Safety Certification: COCN1.
  3. Commercial Gas Certifications: TPCP1A, ICPN1, CORT1, CIGA1.
Desirable Qualifications
  1. Domestic Gas Qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT1, CPA1, ICAE1.
  2. Competent installation skills.
  3. Valid UK Driving Licence (maximum of 6 points).
