Leeds City College is seeking a remarkable Business Studies Program Coordinator to deliver A-level and T Levels education.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and evaluate essential knowledge and comprehension for learners.
  • Oversee the tracking of student progress, inspire and motivate students to reach their goals, and cultivate their skills for advancement.
  • Reflect on effective teaching practices to accommodate the varied needs of students.
  • Modify curriculum delivery techniques to enhance effectiveness, including leveraging technology.
  • Design, prepare, and develop impactful schemes of work, lesson plans, and educational resources, including online learning materials for designated modules.
  • Conduct engaging sessions across the curriculum utilizing a variety of teaching strategies for specified modules.
  • Create and implement effective assessment activities for designated modules.
  • Evaluate student submissions, provide constructive and timely feedback to encourage and inspire learners to improve, and document progress for designated modules.

Candidate Profile

  • Possess an Honours Degree in a relevant field, with substantial experience teaching 16-18 year-olds up to level 3.
  • Hold a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE).
  • Have a relevant highest level vocational qualification or degree in teaching business as a subject.
  • Inspire, motivate, and engage the upcoming generation of business leaders.
  • Act with integrity and uphold high ethical and professional standards.
  • Foster and promote restorative practices and strengthen relationships.
  • Serve as a role model and advocate for a positive image of the college.
  • Adhere to all legislative and regulatory standards.
