Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to join our client, a well-established and reputable building contractor, in Kent. The successful candidate will be responsible for the delivery of large-scale construction projects, with a focus on quality, safety, and timely completion.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate site operations, including programming work schedules, monitoring building progress, and ensuring compliance with regulations and cost limitations.
  • Oversee site inductions, method statements, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and permits to work.
  • Manage logistics planning, plant and labor resources, and progress meetings with site teams and subcontractors.
  • Develop and implement effective health and safety strategies to minimize risks and ensure a safe working environment.
  • Collaborate with project stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery, including clients, architects, engineers, and other contractors.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in managing large-scale construction projects, with a strong track record of delivering high-profile projects.
  • Strong construction background, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and manage site teams and subcontractors.
  • Strong technical and financial acumen, with the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources effectively.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
