About the Role

Sewell Wallis Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Data Entry Clerk to join their team. As a central cog in the finance function, this role will play a crucial part in maintaining client and matter data integrity within the billing system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain client and matter data integrity within the billing system, including hourly charge-out rates for Fee Earners.
  • Vet new client and matter requests against Risk & Compliance, Finance & Client specific rules, ensuring accurate and timely transfer of data into the billing system.
  • Prioritize different workstreams through the use of a ticketing system to meet team and firm Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Liaise with Partners, Fee Earners, and other Finance functions globally to facilitate a seamless process from Client/Matter inception to billing and cash collection.
  • Assist the Commercial Finance team by maintaining panel rate agreements with key clients and conducting yearly rate increases to ensure profitability.
  • Work with other data teams to cleanse the billing system of historically inaccurate/duplicated data.
Requirements
  • Strong attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and data integrity.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels.
  • Solid understanding of basic Maths & Microsoft Excel, with the ability to manipulate monetary amounts.
  • Ability to analyze letters, emails, and spreadsheets, identifying key points and errors/trends.
  • Proven ability to work to tight deadlines and prioritize workload to meet SLAs for multiple workstreams.
  • Desire to ask questions, think outside the box, and suggest ways to simplify processes/data.
  • Willingness to perform routine data cleansing tasks.
  • Confidence in making own decisions and taking responsibility for them.
