Role Overview:

The individual in this position will be entrusted with the comprehensive planning, execution, oversight, and reporting of the project. This role is pivotal in steering the solution delivery process while ensuring effective management of stakeholders, both internal and external.

The incumbent will lead and utilize the resources of a diverse project team to achieve successful project outcomes, irrespective of whether the team members report directly to this position.

This role presents an opportunity for advancement to a Programme Manager position in the future.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise the daily execution of the project concerning timelines, budgetary constraints, and quality standards. Collaborate with engineering project leads to manage the project effectively. Establish the project management strategy and methodology in accordance with established guidelines and standards. Create and sustain the project plan, including task assignments and various project documentation. Organize and oversee the activities of the project team while providing updates on progress. Assess, analyze, and report on project performance metrics (budget, costs, schedule, scope, quality, risks, and issues) along with financial health. Uphold the overall change management process and document impact assessments. Ensure that project deliverables align with the defined requirements, priorities, and strategic objectives. Cultivate relationships with external vendors and evaluate their performance. Maintain communication with clients, providing regular updates on project status. Report project developments to the project team and senior leadership. Convey project updates and directives to the project team effectively. Identify and escalate project challenges, risks, and deviations in quality and scope as necessary. In collaboration with the Engineering Manager, select, develop, and manage a competent team, assigning members to project tasks. Address and resolve issues faced by team members.

Required Expertise and Experience:

Proven history of successful project management. Demonstrates technical proficiency within the relevant market segment for the project. Possesses knowledge of project-based principles, practices, and operations typically acquired through professional qualifications or equivalent experience. Exhibits the capability to manage the project lifecycle effectively. Shows the ability to proactively engage and support internal Engineering and Business Development teams. Capable of working as part of a multidisciplinary team. Experience collaborating with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs). Proficient in the English language with strong articulation skills. Demonstrates effective and diplomatic communication skills, both oral and written. Strong presentation skills suitable for groups of 10-50 individuals. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Comprehensive project planning skills. Ability to prioritize tasks to meet customer requirements effectively.
