About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Business Development Director to join our senior team in the Healthcare sector. As a key member of our Business Development team, you will be responsible for growing our customer base and delivering our business development strategy in the healthcare sector.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities across the healthcare sector, ensuring accurate forecasting and achievement of sales targets.
  • Provide business development leadership, utilising best industry practice and processes to develop sector-specific prospect and account plans.
  • Apply a consultative selling approach, taking time to understand customer challenges and opportunities, and exercising empathy, active listening, and creativity.
  • Pursue and close deals that meet sales, revenue, and profitability objectives, ensuring compatibility with Kainos' strategy and goals.
  • Build and maintain successful partnerships with other businesses in our ecosystem, positioning Kainos as a trusted and value-added partner.
  • Negotiate and manage senior stakeholders, presenting and refining proposals to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Represent Kainos as an external ambassador, promoting our culture, values, and behaviours.
  • Work closely with subject-matter experts and colleagues to maximise cross-selling opportunities and develop business development skills within the wider Healthcare Sector team.
Requirements
  • Experience in leading Business Development with Healthcare Sector client accounts in excess of £5m per annum, selling complex digital solutions.
  • Excellent knowledge of digital service concepts and our markets, with the ability to articulate the distinct aspects of products and services.
  • Expertise in business development processes, deal commercials, and constructing complex commercial offers.
  • Ability to create business development strategies and account plans that ensure success in winning multiple multi-million-pound deals.
  • Broad technology experience and a sound awareness of technology trends and their potential impact for customers.
  • Ability to operate in a highly competitive and pressurised environment, making sensible decisions that do not compromise Kainos.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with senior stakeholders.
