Business Development Director Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join our team at Version 1, a leading provider of IT services and technology solutions. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and developing strategic relationships with clients in the Financial Services sector.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead large sales opportunities, including 7/8 figure deals, developed through our Commercial team and strategic technology partnerships.
  2. Manage client engagements, commercials, contracting, delivery practice engagement, and project mobilisation for contracts awarded to Version 1.
  3. Oversee the management of acquired customer accounts and partner engagements with Microsoft and AWS.
  4. Support the production of bids and tender responses, working closely with project managers, bid management, advisory services, and delivery consultants.
  5. Liaise with Partner Account Managers and Commercial Operations to ensure successful delivery of presentations, tender responses, and contracts to prospects and clients.
  6. Support all levels of the bid process lifecycle.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a successful business development director delivering IT services and technology solutions into the Financial Services sector.
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services Sector buying cycles and procurement processes, including Frameworks, Channel Partners (AWS/Microsoft), and complex bidding environments.
  • Influencing skills to get people at multiple levels to deliver what you need on time and with high quality.
  • Strong written skills to complete tender and internal documentation to a high standard.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage at all levels across an organisation internally and externally.
  • Good commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics.
