We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to join our team at Version 1, a leading provider of IT services and technology solutions. As a key member of our commercial team, you will play a crucial role in driving business growth and developing strategic relationships with clients in the Financial Services sector.
Key Responsibilities- Lead large sales opportunities, including 7/8 figure deals, developed through our Commercial team and strategic technology partnerships.
- Manage client engagements, commercials, contracting, delivery practice engagement, and project mobilisation for contracts awarded to Version 1.
- Oversee the management of acquired customer accounts and partner engagements with Microsoft and AWS.
- Support the production of bids and tender responses, working closely with project managers, bid management, advisory services, and delivery consultants.
- Liaise with Partner Account Managers and Commercial Operations to ensure successful delivery of presentations, tender responses, and contracts to prospects and clients.
- Support all levels of the bid process lifecycle.
- Proven experience as a successful business development director delivering IT services and technology solutions into the Financial Services sector.
- Knowledge of the Financial Services Sector buying cycles and procurement processes, including Frameworks, Channel Partners (AWS/Microsoft), and complex bidding environments.
- Influencing skills to get people at multiple levels to deliver what you need on time and with high quality.
- Strong written skills to complete tender and internal documentation to a high standard.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage at all levels across an organisation internally and externally.
- Good commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics.
