Job Title: Business Development Director - Financial Services
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Director to lead our Financial Services sector growth strategy. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing business development plans, identifying new opportunities, and managing client engagements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead large sales opportunities in the Financial Services sector, developed through our Commercial team and strategic technology partnerships.
- Manage client engagements, including contract execution, commercial negotiations, and project mobilization.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including Microsoft and AWS partners.
- Support the production of bids and tender responses, working closely with project managers, bid management, and advisory services.
- Liaise with Delivery teams to identify and secure resources for sales opportunities and bid preparation.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to customers and prospects, showcasing Version 1's propositions and solutions.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Business Development Director in the Financial Services sector, delivering IT services and technology solutions.
- Knowledge of the Financial Services Sector buying cycles and procurement processes, including Frameworks, Channel Partners, and complex bidding environments.
- Strong influencing skills, with the ability to get people at multiple levels to deliver what you need on time and with high quality.
- Excellent written and communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels across an organization internally and externally.
- Good commercial awareness and sound understanding of project and business dynamics.
