About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Planner to join our team at Mitie, a leading provider of security and facilities management services. As a Project Planner, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects, working closely with our project managers, engineers, and clients to plan and coordinate project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring they are compliant with contractual and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather information and produce realistic project schedules.
  • Monitor project performance, progress, and report accurate and measurable project status.
  • Identify and highlight critical schedule areas and risks, enabling timely management action.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for improvement, time, and cost savings.
  • Manage multiple project schedules for multiple contracts.
  • Awareness of technical implications and interfaces to program work effectively.
  • Awareness of the impact of planning on safety, quality, and cost considerations.
  • Fluency in Primavera P6 and Excel to provide prompt, accurate, and regular information.
  • Fully conversant with Earned Value and the ability to analyze project performance.
  • Development and communication of resource requirements necessary to meet project timescales.
  • Production of project schedules for proposals and tenders.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Previous planning experience, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Sufficient and appropriate experience in EICA and Engineering.
  • Experience of working with multidiscipline teams.
  • Software: Primavera P6, MS Project, and Excel.
  • NEC3/4 contracts.
  • Relevant HNC/Degree qualification.
  • QCF Diploma Level 3/5 Planning.
  • APMP Practitioner.
  • Craft training, supported by relevant CPD training.
