Our dedicated Sustainability and Carbon team guides clients in their decarbonization efforts while enhancing performance across various sustainability dimensions. Our portfolio includes pioneering Decarbonisation / Net Zero Roadmaps, Comprehensive Carbon Assessments, Sustainability Evaluations, TCFD compliance, and Carbon Accounting, all supported by cutting-edge digital tools. Given the expansive scope of sustainability, our team engages across diverse sectors, including large-scale energy, water, rail, highways, airports, and governmental bodies.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with various teams within the organization, contributing at both strategic levels and throughout the lifecycle of significant infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities:
- Spearheading carbon, sustainability, and net zero initiatives for our current portfolio of major infrastructure projects and strategic clients.
- Innovating and developing comprehensive carbon and sustainability strategies, designs, solutions, and management plans.
- Overseeing and coordinating sustainability contributions on significant infrastructure projects.
- Representing the organization at external forums as needed, while enhancing personal, team, and company reputation.
- Leading and supporting bid proposals, contributing to the drafting of submissions, and ensuring key themes are maintained throughout.
- Managing the Manchester/Northern team of sustainability and carbon experts, fulfilling line management responsibilities and fostering team growth.
Requirements:
- A degree in an environmental or engineering-related field, along with chartered status from a recognized professional body.
- Proven experience and current knowledge in areas such as carbon accounting, decarbonisation/net zero roadmaps, sustainability assessments, whole life carbon, sustainability reporting, sustainability strategy, and supply chain engagement.
- Exceptional report writing, communication, and presentation skills adaptable to various audiences, seniorities, and technical competencies.
- Familiarity with UK sustainability and carbon guidelines and standards applicable in infrastructure and corporate reporting across both public and private sectors.
- A strong desire to lead, mentor, and develop team members.

Rewards and Benefits:

Additional Information:
This role may necessitate security clearance, and offers of employment will be contingent upon obtaining the necessary level of clearance.
