Principal Hydrologist

Penguin Recruitment Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Principal Hydrologist to join a dynamic team in Perth. As a specialist in hydrology, hydrogeology, and environmental management, you will be responsible for leading projects and mentoring team members.
The ideal candidate will have extensive technical experience in hydrology, hydrogeology, EIA, and peat restoration, with a strong interest in team management and mentoring. You will be expected to produce and manage EIA chapters, conduct private water supply assessments, and perform various other technical tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Produce and manage EIA chapters and supporting appendices
- Conduct private water supply assessments
- Perform watercourse crossing surveys
- Develop peat management plans
- Assess peat hazard landslide risk
- Develop surface water management plans
- Conduct flood risk assessments for planning applications
- Perform drainage impact assessments
- Conduct hydrological assessments
- Use Infodrainage for drainage modeling
- Conduct water quality assessments
- Develop pollution prevention plans
- Conduct peat assessments and surveys for windfarms
