Principal Hydrologist Opportunity

Penguin Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced Principal Hydrologist to join a dynamic team in Perth. As a specialist in hydrology, hydrogeology, and environmental management, you will be responsible for leading projects and mentoring team members.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage EIA chapters and supporting appendices, including GWDTE Assessments.
  • Conduct Private Water Supply Assessments, Watercourse Crossing Surveys, and Peat Management Plans.
  • Perform Peat Hazard Landslide Risk Assessments, Surface Water Management Plans, and Flood Risk Assessments for Planning Applications.
  • Lead Hydrological Assessments, Drainage Modelling using Infodrainage, and Water Quality Assessments.
  • Develop Pollution Prevention Plans, Peat Assessments, and Peat Surveys for Windfarms.
  • Manage and mentor a team of hydrologists and hydrogeologists.
Requirements:
  • Extensive technical experience in hydrology, hydrogeology, EIA, and peat restoration.
  • Chartered status or close to achieving it.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
