Job Title: Junior Sous Chef

Company: Blue Arrow - Southampton

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000.00-£35,000.00 per year

Additional Pay: Tips

Schedule: 10 hour shift, 8 hour shift, Weekend availability

Experience: Chef: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification: Driving Licence (preferred)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Junior Sous Chef to join our team at Blue Arrow - Southampton. As a key member of our kitchen team, you will be responsible for assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the day-to-day running of the kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in food production and culinary activities
  • Provide leadership and guidance to kitchen staff
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and regulations
  • Assist in food preparation and cooking when necessary
  • Manage kitchen operations efficiently
  • Supervise and train kitchen staff
Requirements
  • Solid experience in a professional kitchen environment
  • Proficient in various cooking techniques and kitchen equipment operation
  • Strong team management and supervisory skills
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations
  • Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
