About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Healthcare Support Specialist to join our team at DMC Healthcare. As a key member of our clinical support team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our ENT clinics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Liaise with our Referral Management Centre to ensure accurate appointment scheduling for clinics.
  • Ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are set up and ready for use prior to each clinic.
  • Manage stock control and inventory at each site, ensuring timely ordering and storage of essential items.
  • Coordinate the setup and organization of clinics, ensuring a seamless patient experience.
  • Assist consultants during clinics, providing high-level customer service and support as needed.
  • Ensure all DMC equipment is properly stored and maintained, and that the clinic environment is clean and tidy.
  • Manage patient records and data, utilizing electronic systems such as SystmOne/EMIS.
  • Communicate effectively with other departments, including Estates and Supplies, to ensure seamless operations.
  • Act as a chaperone, supporting patients and clinicians during clinical procedures.
  • Contribute to the implementation of services, identifying areas for improvement and innovation.
Requirements
  • Minimum GCSE or equivalent qualifications.
  • Band 2 or 3 HCA experience, preferably with 6 months of experience in the last 2 years in the UK.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong patient engagement, customer service, and communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with staff at all levels.
  • Empathetic approach to patients and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
