About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Learning and Leadership Development function. As the Head of Learning and Leadership Development, you will be responsible for delivering and facilitating internal learning programs, conferences, and events to support the Trust's training plan.

You will create a robust and cost-effective training plan and program that delivers an innovative and current offer capturing the learning needs across different professional staff groups. This will include leadership and management development, ensuring equitable access to non-mandatory development and learning.

You will oversee and manage non-medical funding, working in conjunction with the senior HR leadership team to ensure equity of allocation and good governance reporting to Health Education (England).

As a key member of the People Development Team, you will provide line management to the L&D team, leading and supporting the delivery of Development processes such as Appraisal and Supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver leadership and management training programs, tools, and techniques
  • Manage non-medical funding and ensure equity of allocation and good governance reporting
  • Provide line management to the L&D team and lead the delivery of Development processes
  • Collaborate with the senior HR leadership team to ensure alignment with the Trust's learning and development agenda
Requirements
  • Significant experience of delivering and facilitating leadership development programs to staff across all levels
  • Leading and managing individuals and teams effectively, and developing capability, confidence, and competence within them
  • Experience in developing and delivering leadership and management training programs, tools, and techniques
  • Experience and understanding of NHSE/HEE CPD Funding, and management and governance of commissioned learning
