About the Role

Ryder Reid Legal is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team on a permanent, hybrid working basis at our London office. As a key member of our HR team, you will provide essential administrative support to our 300 staff and Partners in the London office, working closely with our New York head office.

Key Responsibilities
  • HR Data Management: Maintain accurate data on our HR Information System (HRIS) for joiners, leavers, office transfers, and other key events.
  • HR Correspondence: Prepare HR correspondence using DocuSign, including probation completion letters, reference requests, and salary review communications.
  • Payroll and Benefits: Collaborate with our Payroll team to manage payroll and benefits changes.
  • Visa Applications: Assist with visa applications and renewals as advised by our Immigration Advisor.
  • Leaver Process: Coordinate the leaver process, including holiday confirmation and documentation.
  • HR Pages and Appraisals: Maintain HR pages on our intranet and assist with appraisal processes.
  • Salary and Bonus Reviews: Support annual salary and bonus review processes.
  • Holiday and Sickness Management: Manage holiday queries, year-end holiday processes, and sickness absence records.
  • Administrative Tasks: Handle e-filing, staff gifts, and new baby hampers.
  • System Development: Develop expertise in Workday, identifying new processes and ensuring full functionality.
  • Invoice Payments and Projects: Manage invoice payments and ad hoc project work.
Lateral Recruitment & On-boarding
  • Recruitment Coordination: Liaise with recruitment agents and coordinate interviews.
  • On-boarding Process: Oversee the on-boarding process, including background checks, medicals, and conflicts checks.
  • Inductions and IT Support: Arrange inductions, IT equipment, and support recruitment initiatives.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum 18 months relevant experience, ideally in the legal sector or professional services.
  • Skills: Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • IT Skills: Strong IT skills, especially in Word and Excel, with experience in HR databases.
  • Commitment: Innovative mindset and a commitment to delivering excellent client service.
