Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Advanced Clinical Practitioner to lead our Lymphoedema Service at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have a strong clinical background in lymphoedema and experience in managing a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Lymphoedema Service, driving forward high-quality patient care and working closely with the Matron and Head of Nursing in Oncology.
  • Provide clinical, managerial, and operational support for the Lymphoedema team to ensure service delivery.
  • Develop and implement new policies and clinical guidance for lymphoedema services, working closely with other lymphoedema services across the South East London Cancer Alliance.
  • Establish and maintain effective communication channels with the multi-disciplinary team, patients, and their carers, and external agencies.
  • Coordinate, lead, and manage the activities of clinics on a day-to-day basis.
  • Assist with the investigation of complaints and lead on the development of action plans to address areas of concern.
  • Work across professional, organisational, and system boundaries to develop and sustain new partnerships and networks to influence and improve health outcomes and healthcare delivery systems.
  • Provide training and education opportunities within the team, trust, local, and national arenas.
  • Ensure best practice and active involvement in budgetary requirements for the service.
  • Ensure compliance with cancer pathways and provide reports of statistics, service, and practice developments.
Requirements
  • Experience of working in lymphoedema services with a sound clinical background to support, run, and manage lymphoedema clinics for new and follow-up patients.
  • Experience of leading and managing a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, flexibility, and reliability with an organised approach to work.
  • Ability to motivate others and have a clear vision and passion to develop and grow lymphoedema services at Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Foundation Trust.
