Job Summary:

The Community Engagement Coordinator will be part of the Community Engagement Team at Preston North End Community and Education Trust, driving the success of our Community Engagement strand and contributing to the continued achievement of the department and its strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Community Engagement Youth Provision team in planning, delivering, and evaluating diversionary activities for young people aged eight to 18 across various programs, including PL Kicks and Detached Youth Work.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to engage with local communities and promote the Trust's mission and values.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure seamless delivery of community programs and services.
  • Monitor and evaluate program outcomes, making recommendations for improvement and growth.
  • Represent the Trust at community events and meetings, fostering partnerships and building relationships with key stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience in community engagement, youth work, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and project management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire team members.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Knowledge of community development principles and practices, with a commitment to social justice and equality.
