Role Description

An exciting opportunity has emerged for an Audience Relations Specialist to join the Life Sciences division at Informa. The role is both challenging and fulfilling, allowing you to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.

The connections and networks established by the Audience Relations Specialist will be pivotal in enhancing the success of our events—boosting audience quality and expanding sponsorship opportunities. This position is ideally suited for a self-driven and confident individual who thrives both independently and collaboratively.

The ideal candidate is a proactive, resourceful, and accountable professional who enjoys working in a dynamic environment across various events and products. They should possess exceptional organizational skills, be outgoing, and demonstrate excellent communication abilities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with conference organizers, marketing teams, sales personnel, speakers, and sponsors to identify key industry stakeholders and VIPs for Informa Life Science events.
  • Engage selected individuals through various communication channels to discuss their participation and secure their involvement in structured networking and social activities.
  • Welcome and assist VIPs on-site at events, ensuring they receive exceptional care and engage in the planned networking/social agenda.
  • Guarantee that VIPs enjoy a superior experience throughout the event lifecycle.
  • Work closely with event sponsors to maximize their clients' participation.
  • Foster strong relationships with key VIPs to cultivate brand loyalty and commitment.
  • Organize exclusive dinners, breakfast briefings, and private meetings, ensuring attendance at these events.
  • Facilitate the 1-to-1 Meeting Service, both in-person and digitally, in collaboration with the sales team.
  • Coordinate with the team to assess the eligibility of incoming VIP requests.
  • Enhance the overall Life Science community through research and relationship-building efforts.
  • Identify new target demographics and leverage these connections to broaden opportunities for the sales team.
  • Develop and utilize relationships with key influencers, trade associations, and other organizations to expand VIP outreach through partnerships.
  • Maintain accurate records of community members, contacts, and clients in internal databases.
  • Gain a comprehensive understanding of our various digital platforms.
