Lead Clinical Practitioner in Pediatric and Neonatal Care

Position Overview
The selected candidate will engage in clinical duties across various departments, including the Neonatal Unit, Pediatric Emergency Care Center, and Outpatient Clinics. Responsibilities will encompass conducting ward rounds, providing timely care in emergency situations, and performing child protection assessments under the guidance of senior consultants.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting ward rounds in designated areas.
- Timely assessment and treatment of pediatric patients in emergency settings.
- Immediate response to emergencies, including those occurring in labor wards.
- Participation in outpatient clinics located in community settings.
- Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive child health services.

Qualifications and Experience
Essential:
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- Proficiency in English language (OET/IELTS or equivalent).
- Advanced Pediatric Life Support (APLS) certification or equivalent.
- Neonatal Life Support (NLS) certification or equivalent.
- Experience in safeguarding children or relevant qualifications.
Desirable:
- Membership in the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (MRCPCH).
- Additional academic qualifications.
Experience Requirements
Essential:
- A minimum of three years' experience in a pediatric role at the Senior House Officer level or higher.
- Experience must include general pediatrics and level 2 neonatal care.
- Demonstrated experience in safeguarding practices.
Desirable:
- Experience in tertiary neonatal care.
- Instructor qualifications in APLS and NLS.
- Completion of safeguarding level 3 training.

- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development in pediatrics.

- Awareness of the role of research in clinical practice.

- Experience in conducting and publishing clinical audits.

- Ability to lead research initiatives.
Additional Requirements
Essential:
- Possession of a valid driving license or alternative transportation arrangements for emergency care.
- Medical clearance from the Trust's Occupational Health Physician.
Desirable:
- Access to personal transportation.
