Position Overview

We are seeking a Lead Procurement & Subcontracting Specialist to enhance our Global Sourcing & Procurement team (GSP). This role is pivotal in managing supply chain operations for subsea and renewable projects, ensuring the protection of TechnipFMC's commercial and contractual interests.

The Lead Procurement & Subcontracting Specialist will effectively oversee all SCM activities, adhering to GSP policies and procedures while maximizing commercial opportunities. Additionally, you will mentor and guide junior team members to foster their professional growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist Procurement & Subcontracting Specialists and Project Buyers in their tasks;
  • Provide strategic advice to project and tender teams regarding sourcing and procurement;
  • Ensure adherence to GSP policies, processes, and procedures;
  • Encourage the effective use of procurement systems and tools, including ERP systems, Ariba SLP, and Ariba Sourcing;
  • Develop and maintain project procurement strategies in collaboration with internal stakeholders;
  • Prepare invitations to tender (ITTs) and manage sourcing activities;
  • Conduct supplier qualification processes in partnership with the QHSE department;
  • Evaluate bids and conduct comparative analyses;
  • Draft subcontracts, identifying suitable contracting models and main contract flow-downs;
  • Negotiate with suppliers and manage clarifications;
  • Prepare recommendations for contract awards;
  • Oversee subcontract progress, expedite processes, and manage commercial aspects until project closeout;
  • Provide feedback on supplier performance;
  • Generate reports and promote best practices and lessons learned.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Support departmental initiatives, including sourcing strategies and process development;
  • Assist in the development and management of frame agreements;
  • Collaborate with global operating centers.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated responsibility and accountability in professional conduct;
  • Commitment to HSES compliance and reporting unsafe conditions;
  • Ability to reinforce HSES culture in operations and projects;
  • Strong communication skills to engage with diverse personnel at all levels.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Proven experience in subcontract drafting and negotiation;
  • Strong commercial acumen and analytical capabilities;
  • Background in supply chain or subcontracting environments;
  • Proactive and adaptable with excellent planning and organizational skills;
  • Effective team player with strong interpersonal skills;
  • Exceptional influencing and negotiation abilities;
  • Outstanding communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the renewables and/or oil and gas sectors;
  • Experience in project environments;
  • Knowledge of procurement systems such as SAP/Ariba;
  • Relevant degree or equivalent qualification;
  • Professional certification in supply chain management.
