Job Description

The Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Area Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering infrastructure projects across the UK, working closely with our customers and stakeholders to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and deliver infrastructure projects from conception to completion, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and industry partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Lead and motivate project teams to achieve project goals and objectives, ensuring high-quality delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control, to ensure financial stability and compliance.
  • Identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive and effective risk management.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in programme and project management, with a strong track record of delivering complex infrastructure projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, and industry partners.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire project teams to achieve high-quality delivery.
  • Excellent financial management skills, with the ability to manage project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate project risks, ensuring proactive and effective risk management.
