About the Role

Mencap is seeking an experienced and dedicated administrator to join our team on a part-time basis. As an Area Administrator, you will provide day-to-day administrative support to our management teams, with a focus on developing digital ways of working.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to management teams, including minute taking, verbal dictation, and data collation
  • Manage office organization and administration, including archiving and ordering supplies
  • Support the management team in drafting letters and reports, and processing invoices
  • Process staff ID badges and carry out pre-employment checks for new staff
  • Assist with digital file management and office archiving
  • Provide cover for colleagues on absence or sickness

Requirements

  • Two years' previous proven administration experience
  • Excellent typing and computer skills in Microsoft Office packages
  • Proven experience of minute taking and verbal dictation
  • Office organization and management experience, including archiving
  • Proven experience of drafting letters and reports in line with company policy
  • Proven experience of supporting a management team or equivalent
