About the Role
We are seeking a qualified Counsellor or Therapist to join our team as a Counsellor on Placement in Central London. As a Counsellor on Placement, you will provide emotional and therapeutic support to children and young people aged 4-18 in our partner schools.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one counselling to up to 3 children per day, for a minimum of one day per week.
- Work in a therapeutic capacity with children, using evidence-based approaches to support their mental health and well-being.
- Participate in regular supervision and training workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge.
- Contribute to the development of a supportive and inclusive school environment.
Requirements
- Be a fully qualified Counsellor, Therapist, or Clinical Psychologist, or be studying towards one of these professions.
- Have relevant experience of direct work with children, or be willing to learn and develop your skills.
- Be available for a minimum of one day per week, term-time only.
- Be able to commit to a one-year placement, with opportunities for extension.
