Job Title: 3rd Line Support Engineer

Xact Placements Ltd is seeking a skilled 3rd Line Support Engineer to join their team. As a key member of the IT support team, you will be responsible for providing expert technical support to clients on hosted and on-premise IT systems.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support to clients on a variety of IT systems, including hosted and on-premise environments.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, including faults and errors.
  • Manage tickets and ensure timely resolution in line with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Perform maintenance tasks on desktops, servers, and network devices.
  • Update documentation as required.
  • Visit client sites to provide on-site support.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role, preferably within a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong networking knowledge and experience with Windows Server, VMWare, Hyper-V, and Office 365.
  • PowerShell scripting skills and good understanding of backups, such as Veeam.
  • Competent in Windows and Linux environments.
  • Fortinet experience is desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Good understanding of ITIL principles.
Salary:

£45,000-£50,000 per annum, depending on experience.
