Key Responsibilities

  • Take the lead in coordinating external examination entries and assessments within mathematics, working closely with the Student Services Administrator and Data and Exams Officer to ensure smooth administration and compliance with examination regulations.
  • Lead the development of a curriculum that provides students with the cultural capital necessary to succeed in mathematics, ensuring learning experiences are inclusive, diverse, and relevant to the backgrounds and experiences of all learners.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to create a positive and engaging learning environment consistent with the academy's Behaviour Policy and Academy Development Plan, fostering a culture of respect, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in teaching mathematics at a secondary level.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, students, and parents.
  • Ability to analyse data and implement targeted interventions to improve student outcomes.
  • Knowledge of national curriculum standards and assessment frameworks.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, sharing best practices and resources to enhance teaching and learning.
