Oxford Population Health (the Nuffield Department of Population Health, University of Oxford) is a global pioneer and leader in population health science. The department has over 750 staff, students and academic visitors who work together to investigate the causes and prevention of disease and lead human health forward.

The Senior Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement Officer will work as part of a small team to generate involvement and engagement with a range of stakeholders, including the ‘general’ public, participants in our research studies, staff, students, partner organisations, clinicians, funders, and policy-makers. This role has specific responsibility for facilitating and encouraging patient and public involvement and engagement (PPIE) in a range of projects undertaken across the department and providing support and guidance to researchers undertaking PPIE.

To be considered for this role, you will be educated to a degree level or equivalent, have experience in line management as well as experience in a communications and/or public engagement role including experience of developing and using a variety of tools to create, deliver and evaluate public engagement activities/materials. You will also have excellent interpersonal skills and planning and project management skills.
