About the role

We are currently recruiting for a Senior Administrator to become a member of Site Operations Administration team at the Ministry of Defence (MoD) site in Salisbury. The site features the longest military runway in the UK and is host to the first test pilot school (ETPS). It is used to provide a variety of test and evaluation competencies to a range of incredibly exciting projects and programmes.

Within this varied role, you’ll be involved with all aspects of administrative duties across the site. As a skilled member of the administration team, you’ll get the chance to be a point of contact for various stakeholders which use the site, for both civilian and military customers.

What do I need?

Experience in some of the following areas would be desirable, but not essential.

High-level administration experience
Strong team player who is adaptable and motivated
Level 3 or equivalent business administration qualification and/or evidence of equivalent experience.
Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

Purchasing systems such as Ariba or working understanding of UK purchasing processes.

An understanding of information classification in accordance with MOD policies and control of off-site movements would be highly desirable

Please note that all applicants must be eligible for SC clearance as a minimum.

What will I be doing?

Using your skills and experience in administration and support services, you will support the immediate team, as well as reception team & act as a point of contact for various stakeholders on site;
You’ll deliver support and administrative services to a high standard, supporting in managing and completing tasks, using own initiative

You’ll support in upholding site safety and security requirements at all times, helping to deliver process management

Working within the close-knit team, you’ll support in the effectiveness of the Site Operations Team and support the Head of Site and wider operational teams; proactively seeking areas for continuous improvement; participating in service team meetings; implementing improvements as well as supporting others with such activities

You’ll also provide support beyond the immediate team, to train, guide and support others with tasks as required in delivering services set by the team lead across the site.
